VFW Post 2485 Children's Operation Program

The final results for June  2006 to June 2007 included a total of 31 cleft lip/palate operations  provided to Filipino children from indigent families. Expenditures for this program totaled $10,350.  All funds were generated through donations.

Over the past year, substantial donations were received from the Klunk Foundation, Lee Cobb and his shipmates from the Honolulu chapter of the Fleet Reserve Association,  Bill Feldt, Dennis Carlton, Walt Howard, Bud Luker, Dave Daugherty, Dave Rowe and his band of angels, J.J Johnson, and VFW Post 9612 in Camp Zama, Japan.  Special thanks to Mike Sculley who has taken over administrative duties for the program and for all the other members and friends who have supported this program. You have made a difference in the lives of over 1250 children who have benefited from this program since its inception in 1988.  A big Salamat to all of you.

Operations cost from $350.00 to $400.00. A financial report with before and after pictures where practical is provided to each benefactor. This program has zero overhead costs. Your support for this worthwhile program is sincerely appreciated.
