The Military Order of the Cootie is the Honor Degree of the VFW. All Cooties must be members in good standing of the VFW. Pup Tent 15 was established in May 1995 and currently has almost 50 members. Pup Tent 15 conducts its monthly Scratches every 2nd Tuesday, at 1400 hrs, in the VFW Post Home, Angeles City, Philippines. We exist to support our home post, Post 2485, the VFW and our own programs. The Cooties are a fun organization. We WORK HARD and HAVE FUN WHILE WE ARE DOING IT.

The Pup Tent is involved in the following projects.

HOSPITAL VISITS: Cooties from Pup Tent 15 make numerous hospital visits every month to local area veterans in their homes and local hospitals.

EYE GLASS PROJECT: In this program the Pup Tent collects old or unused glasses and with the help of local doctors distributes them to the needy.

CLARK CEMETERY SUPPORT: Pup Tent 15 supports all post functions at the cemetery. Cootie Dick Jones is the current Cemetery Chairman. Past Cemetery Chairmen have been Past Grand Commander B. K. Hubbard and current Post Commander Al Mitchell, who both served with distinction.

CLARK CEMETERY GRAVE DIGGERS: A support group devoted to the care and maintenance of the Clark Cemetery. This is a program of our parent Post 2485, however, from its inception has been administered by the Pup Tent. The Grave Diggers currently has over 700 members and has raised over $14,000.00 for cemetery support.

HEINZ WOELKE BLIND SCHOOL IN BAGUIO: Pup Tent 15 provides support to Pup Tent 7 (LaUnion ) in support of the Heinz Woelke Blind School for children in Baguio. During the February District meeting in Baguio, we visit the school. The Pup Tent collects peanut butter and mayonnaise for the children, which we deliver during our visit. This is a special treat for them. We also make additional donations such as guitars and cash.

STREET KIDS PROGRAM: We assist a group of indigent Street Kids, sponsored by the Clarkview Christian Center and Church next to the Post Home. Quarterly we take them to a local hotel for an afternoon swim party and picnic. Periodically we provide other assistance, as needed.
COMMUNITY PROGRAMS: We provide monetary and in kind assistance to Post 2485 and other local expat organizations in their respective programs.
